NBA D-League Player Rankings Week 17
The season is less than two weeks from wrapping up and several teams have claimed playoff berths thus far, including the Raptors 905, Los Angeles D-Fenders, and Oklahoma City Blue. Many postseason slots are still up for grasp and they could come very well come down to the final day of the regular season (April 1).
How do the player rankings work?
Each of our site contributors fills out a ballot ranking the Top-15 prospects in the D-League (with the exception of draft-and-stash players as their rights are held exclusively by an NBA team). A No. 1 ranking earns 15 points, No. 2 receives 14 and so forth. The Top-10 players with the highest cumulative ranking make the cut each week.
With that in mind, which players are making the most of their opportunity in the D-League?
After signing with Dallas earlier this season, Pierre Jackson made his return to the Texas Legends where he continues to show out for the team out of Frisco, averaging over 24 points per game while shooting nearly 50% from the field.
Meanwhile, Keith Benson is doing his part to have Sioux Falls make the postseason as he’s averaging a double-double thus far this season. He is one of two, non-assignment players to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds this season (the other being Shawn Long who recently signed with the Philadelphia 76ers).
Anthony Brown rounds out our top-three as he’s been consistent this season for the Erie BayHawks. The former Los Angeles Lakers guard is averaging over 20 points a game while shooting over 45% from three-point range this season (on 5.1 attempts per game).
