According to a source, Khalif Wyatt has been acquired off waivers by Brooklyn’s NBA D-League affiliate the Springfield Armor as part of a prearranged deal.
Wyatt entered the NBA D-League player pool recently after playing in China for Guangdong Southern. In 27 games, he averaged 15.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists.
The former Temple standout guard was one of the last four cuts (Royce White, Vander Blue, Mac Koshwal, Khalif Wyatt) for Philadelphia prior to this season. Wyatt averaged 13.8 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in NBA Summer League, and played in 4 preseason games with the Sixers.
Wyatt will join a rather impressive back court consisting of Darius Johnson-Odom in Springfield. Johnson-Odom has been lights out as of late, and with the addition of Wyatt, the Armor could have one of the top guard combinations in the NBADL.
