According to a source, Dexter Pittman, Austin Freeman, and Zeke Marshall have entered their names into the NBA D-League’s player pool this week.
All three players have distinctly different playing backgrounds, but all are noteworthy names.
Pittman has played twice for Sioux Falls in his career. In 2010-11, he played in 22 games and last season he spent 15 games with the club. He averaged 12.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 2012-13.
During his time with Miami, Pittman was assigned six times to Sioux Falls.
Austin Freeman is coming off a stint in Israel, but now is focused on playing in the NBA D-League it appears.
The four-year Georgetown guard spent summer league with New Orleans in 2012-13, and averaged 3.4 pts and 2.2 rebounds.
Zeke Marshall went undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft, and now the 7-footer is ready to try his luck in the NBADL.
Marshall averaged 12.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.7 blocks during his senior season at Akron.
